2. What personal data we collect

Information you give us directly. When you use our "Contact Us," "Register Now," or commission savings calculator contact forms, we collect the information you submit, which may include: your name, company/restaurant name, email address, phone number, business address, website, and business type.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, which can collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and approximate location, for the purpose of understanding how visitors use our site.

3. How we use your data

To respond to inquiries submitted through our forms and provide the information or callback you requested.
To set up and administer your RestaurantZX account if you register.
To understand and improve how visitors use our website.
To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Legal basis for processing

Where the GDPR applies, we process your data based on: your consent (for example, submitting a contact form), our legitimate interest in operating and improving this website and responding to business inquiries, and, where applicable, the steps necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you.

5. Cookies and analytics

This site loads Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. We use Google's Consent Mode, which defaults analytics, advertising, and personalization cookies to "denied" until you have consented -- this website does not currently present a cookie-consent banner to collect that consent, so these categories remain off by default and only privacy-restricted, cookie-less measurement may occur.

We plan to add a cookie consent mechanism so visitors can actively choose their preferences; this policy will be updated when that changes.

6. Who we share data with

We share personal data with service providers who process it on our behalf, strictly to operate this website and our business, including: our website hosting provider (Vercel), our analytics provider (Google), and our internal customer relationship management systems. These providers are only permitted to use your data to provide services to us.

7. International data transfers

Some of our service providers, including Google, may process data outside Norway and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this occurs, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your data.

8. Data retention

We retain personal data submitted through our forms for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, maintain our business relationship with you, or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
